Terms of use
Last updated 15 September 2026
These terms apply to the UrgeQ app, the booking pages at urgeq.com/i/, and this website. Using any of them means you accept them. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Who this is for
UrgeQ is a tool for approved driving instructors and their pupils. You must be 18 or over to hold an instructor account. UrgeQ is not a driving school, does not employ instructors, and is not party to the lesson agreement between an instructor and a pupil.
Your account
- Sign-in codes are personal to you. Do not share them.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
- We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms or the law.
What you are responsible for
The assistant answers pupils using the information you enter. You are responsible for that information being accurate and current, including your rate, your covered areas, your working days and the rules you write. If you change your prices, change them in the app. UrgeQ does not check what you enter.
You are also responsible for holding the right ADI registration, insurance and vehicle documents for the lessons you take, and for handling your pupils’ personal data in line with data protection law.
Bookings, payment and cancellation
A booking made through UrgeQ is an agreement between the instructor and the pupil. UrgeQ records it and passes the details on. UrgeQ does not take payment, hold money or act as agent for either side. Deposits, fees, refunds and cancellation charges are a matter between the instructor and the pupil, on whatever terms the instructor has published.
The assistant
The assistant generates its replies from what the instructor has entered. It can still get things wrong. Nothing it says is legal, financial or driving instruction advice, and neither UrgeQ nor the instructor is bound by an answer that misstates the instructor’s own terms. If an answer and the instructor disagree, the instructor is right.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use UrgeQ for anything unlawful, or to harass or mislead anyone;
- enter someone else’s personal data without a lawful basis for doing so;
- try to break, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service;
- use the assistant to generate content unrelated to driving tuition.
Availability
UrgeQ is provided as it is. We aim to keep it running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we may change or withdraw features. During testing, features may change at short notice.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Subject to that, UrgeQ is not liable for lost lessons, lost income, lost data or any indirect loss, and our total liability to you in any twelve month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and £100.
Ending it
You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@urgeq.com. We may end your access with reasonable notice, or immediately if you seriously break these terms. Your booking records are kept and deleted as set out in the privacy notice.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use UrgeQ after that means you accept the change.
